指用花言巧语搬弄是非。《金瓶梅词话》第五六回：“第二就要人品了，又要好相處，没些説是説非，翻唇弄舌，這就好了。”《醒世恒言·李汧公穷邸遇侠客》：“憑你什麽事，高來高就，低來低對，死的也説得活起來，活的也説得死了去，是一個翻唇弄舌的婆娘。”
