省：检查，反省。身：自身。原指每日从三个方面来检查自己。一说一日反省三次。后指多次自觉地检查自己。亦作“吾日三省”。

铮铮：金属相击声。比喻为人正直，名声很好。

遏：阻止；扬：宣扬。禁绝坏事，宣扬提倡好事。

磕头：旧时礼节，跪在地上头碰地。礼拜：向尊敬的人或神行礼。恭敬地跪在地上叩头行礼。

凊：凉。冬天使父母温暖，夏天使父母凉爽。本指人子孝道。现亦泛称冬暖夏凉。

重：重视；抑：压制，贬低。重视这个，压制那个。指待人或处事不公平
