衣服破败，鞋子穿孔。形容贫穷。 汉 刘向 《说苑·善说》：“君將掘君之偶錢，發君之庾粟以補士，則衣弊履穿而不贍耳。”亦作“ 衣敝履空 ”。《汉书·鲍宣传》：“ 唐尊 衣敝履空，以瓦器飲食，又以歷遺公卿，被虚僞名。” 颜师古 注：“著敝衣躡空履也。空，穿也。”
